![]() ![]() ![]() We plan to continue to support the game following it’s full release too of course with features and content, our early access period will be for adding features we consider integral for the core experience of Tabletop Playground.” “We expect our early access period to end in 2023, with regular updates and new features added regularly until release. But we want to get the game into your hands as soon as possible! Hence the decision to release Tabletop Playground in early access.”Īpproximately how long will this game be in Early Access? Most importantly, we're a small team with limited capacity, so it’s going to take time to implement all these features while also releasing regular updates and bug fixes. However, we still have a lot of plans in the pipeline for Tabletop Playground and believe there are several features we want to add to the game before we'd consider it a full release.Īs our community has grown we’ve had a lot of feedback and further suggestions for the game too, and expect to have many more once we release in early access that we’ll take into consideration. Firstly, we believe the game is in a strong state, with all core features already in place for you to be able to create games with ease and share them with others around the world to play. I'll update after I've actually played with it but maybe Plasticity could verify whether what I'm surmising is accurate.“We've decided to release Tabletop Playground in early access for a few reasons. If I have those two things right, TTPG is exactly everything I always wished TTS would be. It appears TTPG gives you the ability to design game pieces itself. With TTS, you need to use other software to actually build all but the simplest game pieces, then import them into the simulation. TTPG also appears to give you a much broader ability to create your own game assets in the app itself. When you draw a Chance card, the bank can automatically distribute money to you, based on which card you draw. If I'm understanding properly, that means (for example) that if you're playing Monopoly, when you roll the dice, your token could be programmed to automatically move the correct number of spaces. It would appear that while TTS is literally nothing more than a simulation of the top of a table, TTPG includes a scripting engine that (presumably) allows you to actually program the rules into the simulator, rather than just have them available for everyone to read. ![]()
